Afraid so. I think I discovered this shop via eBay – I was searching for something, clicked something else which brought me to another place and finally to a website that had this wonderful self-striping yarn. So I subscribed to the Esty shop’s RSS feed and waited for new stuff. And it came. And I bought.

The vendor is Twisted Fiber Art and here is her Etsy shop.
Check out the packaging. Cute!

I bought a skein of Kabam! which is bamboo, merino and nylon in the colorway Batty. I also got a skein of Duchess, 100% merino in Octarine. And THEN she threw in an EXTRA skein of Shiny yarn in the Netherfield colorway. There is no yardage on the skein and I don’t think it is enough for a pair of socks by itself, but it is very pretty. Thank you!

In the mail at work today I had some special surprises. I bought some books from a member of KnittersReview forums. Two socks books and Folk Vests. She wrapped the books in a piece of cute fabric that I neglected to take a picture of. It was kids in space ships and rockets. I gave it tto a co-worker with young sons and a wife who quilts. Thank you Sandra C!

And also from Loopy Ewe, some Seacoast sock yarn as well as Claudia’s handpainted “Eat Your Veggies.” The Seacoast yarn is thicker than I thought it would be. This will knit up some nice simple socks, quick knits. The CHP is telling me to do something more fun, like another pair of Jaywalkers or maybe Monkey socks.

The April Sock kit arrived. It is a toe-up pattern. I haven’t even started the last pattern. Oops. The yarn is nice. It’s different than anything in my stash and anything I have knit with before. The pattern, although written for 2 circs, can be easily adjusted to DPNs and is actually a pattern that I have been wanting to try for some time.
